Bachelor's degree or equivalent healthcare IT experience, 3-5 years in healthcare or sales engineering roles, strong communication and presentation skills, and knowledge of healthcare IT and sales processes.
Overview The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for being a pre-sale subject matter expert with assigned solutions and being able to differentiate healthcare operations offerings; conveying compelling value propositions; assisting in qualifying customer needs; and responding to customers' clinical/technical/process questions to successfully close sales. Serve as the liaison between internal symplr teams and the customer, appropriately setting product functionality, delivery, and support expectations that assure the highest degree of success for both the customer and for symplr. Duties & Responsibilities Provide technical and solution leadership during sales process by demonstrating extensive understanding of technical product specifications Simplify technical terms during product demonstrations and pre-sales customer support Provide operational leadership and expertise in the sales cycle to research the customer's environment and determine the business fit with symplr solutions Support demonstrations to ensure customer understands how symplr solutions can meet customers' business needs Establish strong rapport with prospects/clients and establish self as an expert Create personalized presentations based on knowledge gained about the customer, their technical needs, and path to a fully SaaS future state Maintain current product, competitor, and industry knowledge and demonstrate that expertise to customers Support trade shows and professional conferences by communicating the symplr story and pathway to the Connected Enterprise Serve as a liaison to internal teams by presenting feedback to Product and Engineering teams Support project scoping in alignment with Professional Services’ quality approval process Guide customers through symplr SOW with detailed explanation of implementation process and timelines Improve the customer journey by serving as a responsible participant in the Sales to Service Handoff Skills Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science, OR four years of healthcare IT experience, OR four years of healthcare technology demonstration experience Minimum of 3-5 years of proven, relevant experience in healthcare or similar field, working Sales Engineer or similar pre-sales support role Working knowledge of Healthcare IT, security, interoperability, interfacing, APIs, and an understanding of cloud computing concepts Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite In-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry with pillar specific experience Strong presentation skills Strong leadership skills Ability to comprehend and present complex features in understandable terms Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, to external customers, global counterparts and to team members in other functional organizations Ability to manage and resolve conflict, communicate issues, and propose solutions to both internal team members and external customers Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process Self-motivated; willing to take the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and take actions to improve Team-oriented with a customer satisfaction mindset Ability to multi-task effectively and manage multiple priorities at one time Desired Skills and Qualifications: Familiarity with common Sales cycles processes Experience as a successful Sales Engineer Familiarity with Salesforce Min USD $110,000.00/Yr.
