Overview The Business Data Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, high-quality data migration and reporting during the implementation of provider management software. This position collaborates with cross-functional teams to analyze, cleanse, and validate provider data, develop reporting solutions, and support integration with external systems. Duties & Responsibilities Facilitate client meetings to gather feedback and define detailed data requirements. Engage with customers to understand business needs and translate them into actionable data specifications. Collect and analyze provider data from legacy systems for migration and integration. Map data fields to new system requirements, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Perform data quality checks to identify duplicates, missing values, and inconsistencies. Apply validation rules to meet credentialing and compliance standards. Validate data exchange between provider management software and external systems (EHR, billing, scheduling). Develop and execute test scenarios for data validation and reporting accuracy. Incorporate end-user feedback to refine queries, dashboards, and reporting solutions. Identify and escalate data-related blockers or dependencies to project leadership. Skills Required Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize, interpret, and translate complex data sets with precision. Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Knowledge of healthcare data standards and compliance requirements (HIPAA, NCQA) is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and workflow tools such as Microsoft Visio; ability to learn new applications quickly. Exceptional interpersonal skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 1 year of business analysis experience, preferably in healthcare. Minimum of 1 year of experience with Microsoft SQL. Familiarity with healthcare provider data management or credentialing processes preferred. Min USD $55,000.00/Yr. Max USD $80,000.00/Yr.
