Job Description: • ***MUST HAVE RETAIL GROCERY EXPERIENCE**** Vice President, Product Management – Merchandise Intelligence Location: Flexible Function: Product Leadership Industry: AI SaaS • Retail • Grocery Reporting: SVP, Product Management - RetailAI About the Role SymphonyAI is seeking a Sr. Director/Vice President of Product Management to lead our Merchandise Intelligence Suite, which includes industry-leading capabilities in Assortment Planning, Planogram/Space Optimization, Category Optimization, and Promotion Optimization. This executive will shape the next generation of AI-powered merchandising applications—introducing Copilots, Agentic workflows, optimization engines, and scenario orchestration—to help retailers improve efficiency, compliance, profitability, and scale. This is a high-impact leadership role for a product executive with deep retail merchandising domain expertise and strong experience building AI-first enterprise SaaS products. Key Responsibilities Product Vision & Strategy • Define and lead the product strategy and roadmap for the full Merchandise Intelligence Suite. • Deliver new AI-driven capabilities, including Copilots, agentic workflows, and predictive optimization features. • Set long-term product vision grounded in measurable value for grocery, mass merchant, and retail clients. Product Development & Innovation • Oversee design, development, and enhancement of planogram and compliance applications with modern UX. • Expand end-to-end scenario planning for assortment, category, and promotional optimization. • Ensure seamless API integrations with 3rd-party systems (pricing, promo, ERP, POS, and assortment planning). • Drive innovation in execution and distribution of planograms to store teams. Cross-Functional Leadership • Partner with Engineering, Sales, Pre-Sales, Product Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure strong execution. • Support major sales cycles and customer-facing discussions, influencing CXO-level retail leaders. • Serve as the domain expert in merchandising workflows and operational retail needs. Commercial Strategy • Own pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies for new AI features and products. • Lead incubation, beta programs, and successful launch of new capabilities. Team Leadership • Build and mentor a high-performing product organization. • Foster a culture of innovation, customer obsession, and data-driven decision-making. What You Bring • Deep expertise in retail merchandising, including planogram/space planning, assortment planning, category management, and promotional optimization. • Proven success driving AI SaaS product development, including Copilots, LLM/agentic workflows, and optimization tools. • 12+ years in product management; 5+ years in senior product leadership. • Strong track record leading products from concept to launch with demonstrable business impact. • Ability to influence at the CXO level across large retailers. • Strong analytical and strategic thinking with experience in complex enterprise data ecosystems. • Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred. • Experience delivering enterprise SaaS products in retail or grocery required. • Fluency in API ecosystems, data-driven decision systems, and optimization engines.
