Job Summary The Product Innovation team is seeking a Solutions Architect. This is a highly skilled expert in Logistic Automation with a strong focus on Solution and Product proposal work to support business growth through the development of technically sound, commercially viable, and innovative automation solutions. This individual will play a critical role in working on next Generations Solutions and Products as well as translating client requirements into compelling proposals that integrate warehouse and fulfilment automation technologies. Position will report to the Chief of Product Innovation. Responsibilities • Lead the development of detailed technical proposals for logistic automation projects, including AMRs, conveyors, AS/RS, sortation systems, and robotics. • Collaborate with sales, engineering, operations teams to design optimized automation layouts and workflows. • Analyze customer data (SKU profiles, order volume, throughput rates) to size systems and develop solution concepts. • Write and present comprehensive proposals, including solution design, process flows, timelines, pricing models, and ROI justification. • Prepare technical responses to RFPs/RFQs and client queries in a timely and accurate manner. • Stay current on emerging automation technologies and best practices to ensure proposals remain competitive and innovative. • Participate in customer workshops, site surveys, and technical reviews as needed. Identify best in class Automation products in the field and support partnership development where applicable. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Automation, or related field and/or 10+ years of experience in logistics automation, including warehouse design, robotics, or fulfilment technology. Proven track record of successful proposal writing and solution development in automation or systems integration. Strong knowledge of material handling equipment, warehouse operations, and automation ROI modeling. Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar layout/design tools; familiarity with simulation software is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and customer value. Ability to manage multiple complex proposals simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Our Environment Up to 70% travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
