Manage and configure Google Workspace services, lead migrations from legacy platforms, implement security and compliance policies, automate workflows, and support global end-users.
5+ years managing Google Workspace environments with strong skills in administration, automation, migration, security configurations, and scripting.
Key Responsibilities: • Design, configure, and manage Google Workspace services including Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, Chat, Groups, and Admin Console. • Lead migration and transformation projects from legacy platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Exchange, Lotus Notes) to Google Workspace. • Implement security and compliance configurations, including data loss prevention (DLP), retention, encryption, and access control. • Manage Google Workspace Directory Sync, Single Sign-On (SSO), and identity integrations with Azure AD, Okta, or other IDPs. • Create and maintain automations and workflows using Apps Script, GAM, or API integrations. • Monitor and optimize Workspace performance, storage, and licensing to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness. • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, escalate as needed, and support global end-users. • Collaborate with cybersecurity and compliance teams to align Workspace policies with enterprise standards. • Develop documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles to standardize configurations and processes. • Stay current with Google Cloud and Workspace updates, recommending adoption of new features and best practices. Required Skills and Experience: • 5+ years of experience in managing or engineering Google Workspace environments. • Strong understanding of Google Admin Console, Workspace APIs, and identity management concepts. • Hands-on experience with GAM, Apps Script, and automation for Workspace administration. • Experience in mail routing, DNS (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and email security configurations. • Knowledge of Google Vault, Drive audit, and DLP policies. • Familiarity with endpoint management (Windows, macOS, mobile) using Workspace tools or MDM integrations. • Experience with migration tools (e.g., CloudM, BitTitan, Google Workspace Migrate). • Strong understanding of security and compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC2, GDPR). • Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash are preferred. • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Google Workspace Administrator or Professional Collaboration Engineer Certification. • Experience integrating Google Workspace with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. • Background in enterprise IT operations, including networking and identity systems. • Experience supporting multi-domain and hybrid environments Job Type: Contract Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour Work Location: Remote
