About the role We’re seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Specialist to join our Marketing Team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate has two to four years of experience managing social media for mission-driven organizations and a strong interest or background in healthcare, wellness, or patient education. You’ll create, publish, and optimize bilingual (English and Spanish) content across multiple platforms to engage and grow our community. What you'll do Develop and manage social media content calendars tailored for English- and Spanish-speaking audiences. Create, schedule, and publish engaging posts (copy, images, video, graphics) across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok. Collaborate with the Content, Design, and Video teams to develop multimedia campaigns aligned with brand and health-related messaging. Engage with community members, respond to comments, and foster supportive online conversations. Track, analyze, and report on key metrics to inform future strategies and content optimizations. Conduct A/B tests to refine messaging and improve reach and engagement. Stay up to date on social media trends, especially within healthcare, digital wellness, and patient advocacy spaces. Work closely with internal teams to ensure content accuracy and compliance with health communication guidelines. Qualifications Between two and four years of social media or digital marketing experience Proven experience managing brand or community social media accounts Experience with or a strong interest in healthcare, wellness, or patient-centered communication strongly preferred Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Later, Buffer) Understanding of social analytics and reporting tools (e.g., native platform analytics, Google Analytics) Basic graphic design skills or experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud Self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and mission-driven environment Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken) The pay for this role is: 40 USD per hour (Remote (United States))
