Job Title: Senior Strategic Sourcing Consultant Contract Duration: 9 Months/W2 Location: Remote Industry: Financial Services / Investment Management Description A Senior Strategic Sourcing Consultant is a highly experienced professional who leads the development and execution of strategic sourcing strategies for complex goods and services. This role focuses on sourcing activities for Investment Operations and Investment Group business areas within the financial services industry. The consultant will manage relationships with internal stakeholders to deliver a positive customer experience, drive end-to-end completion of source-to-pay processes, identify cost-saving opportunities, manage supplier relationships, and negotiate favorable contract terms — while ensuring compliance with company policies and best practices. Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing Planning • Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential suppliers and assess market trends. • Develop sourcing strategies for assigned categories, including cost reduction targets, supplier selection criteria, and risk mitigation plans. • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into sourcing requirements. RFx Management • Lead the design and execution of RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes. • Analyze supplier responses and evaluate proposals based on price, quality, delivery, and other factors. Supplier Negotiation • Develop negotiation strategies and lead negotiations of complex contract provisions. • Negotiate pricing and terms while balancing risk and value. • Draft and manage master agreements, including legal terms and conditions. Relationship Management • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers. • Address supplier performance issues and drive continuous improvement. • Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and contractual obligations. Cost Optimization • Analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities. • Apply cost modeling and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis to evaluate sourcing options. Stakeholder Management • Communicate sourcing strategies and progress to stakeholders, including senior leadership. • Manage expectations and address concerns related to sourcing activities. Required Skills & Experience Sourcing Expertise • 7+ years of advanced strategic sourcing experience with mastery of procurement principles and practices. • Strong knowledge of sourcing methodologies and contract law. Analytical Skills • Proficiency in data analysis, spend analytics, and financial modeling to identify cost savings. Negotiation Skills • Proven track record of negotiating complex contracts and achieving favorable terms. Market Knowledge • Extensive understanding of supplier markets, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Communication & Relationship Management • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong presentation and stakeholder influence skills at all levels. • Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment. Project Management • Strong ability to lead and manage sourcing projects end-to-end. • Skilled in handling timelines and driving project completion with limited supervision. Education • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Economics, or Operations Management. • Experience in related disciplines (Finance, Sales, Operations, etc.) is preferred.
