As a Data Analyst – Operations, you’ll operate at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and business operations — transforming complex, multi-source data into clear, actionable insights that improve efficiency, performance, and customer outcomes. Role Details • W2 candidates only – sponsorship not available* • Location: Hybrid – Riverwoods, IL • Schedule: Monday–Friday (Business Hours) • Compensation: $84 per hour (negotiable based on experience) • Duration: 6-month contract to start (extension potential) Top Required Skills • 1+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis, reporting, or analytics roles. • Strong SQL skills for querying, joining, and transforming data. • Advanced Excel proficiency for data analysis and validation. • Experience building dashboards and visualizations in Tableau. • Proven ability to clean, normalize, and integrate data from multiple sources. • Experience working with relational databases using primary key joins. • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate metrics into business insights. Role Overview You will play a critical role in enabling operational excellence by consolidating and analyzing data from multiple systems, including CRM platforms such as Salesforce. This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support fast-moving business initiatives through reliable reporting and data-driven insights. You’ll partner closely with operations, onboarding, and stakeholder teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability — turning raw data into dashboards and metrics that inform decision-making. What You’ll Do • Intake, consolidate, and integrate data from multiple internal sources, including CRM systems. • Clean, normalize, and structure datasets to ensure consistency and accuracy. • Use primary keys to stitch datasets into relational tables or databases. • Analyze operational and process metrics, including: • Volume • Cycle Time • Throughput • Defects • First-Time Pass Resolution • Perform ad hoc analyses to support business decisions and operational improvements. • Design and build interactive Tableau dashboards for ongoing reporting and performance tracking. • Develop automated or repeatable data pipelines for recurring reporting needs. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into analytics solutions. Minimum Qualifications • At least 1 year of professional experience in data analysis or analytics. • Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Excel, and Tableau. • Demonstrated experience with data cleansing, normalization, and transformation. • Experience working with relational databases and primary key joins. • Ability to interpret operational metrics and process performance indicators. Preferred Qualifications • Python experience for data transformation and automation. • Experience building automated data pipelines. • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma concepts. • Experience within the Payments or financial services industry. • Salesforce experience and understanding of its data structure.
