Requires 15+ years in product management/technical development in utility/industrial communications, with expertise in transmission systems, standards, and global team collaboration.
Job Description: • Lead the end-to-end strategy and long-term roadmap for the Transmission Communications portfolio. • Identify evolving needs in transmission grids, including protection, redundancy schemes, IEC standards, cybersecurity, and digital substation modernization. • Analyze markets, technology shifts, and competitive landscapes to define prioritized investments. • Evaluate and influence inorganic growth opportunities, including technology partnerships and acquisitions. • Lead product lifecycle of products including, but not limited to: Optical multiplexers (SDH/SONET/OTN/Packet Optical), Industrial Ethernet switches, Teleprotection signalling systems, Power Line Carrier (PLC) communication devices. • Translate customer insights and technical requirements into prioritized roadmaps and release plans. • Pace Product releases to ensure they are aligned with relevant operating rhythms for the portfolio, including multi-generation product plans, business plans, and NPI cycles. • Define and monitor operational results for the portfolio, including financials & market shares objectives. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field. • Minimum 15 years of experience of leading product management, product marketing and/or technical development, in Utility/Industrial Communication segment • Strong understanding of transmission systems, substation automation, protection schemes, and critical communications • Demonstrated experience working with global teams and customers. • MBA or advanced technical degree (desired) • Experience developing long-term product and portfolio strategies (desired) • Proven ability to analyze markets, build business cases, and define strategic roadmaps (desired) • Knowledge of teleprotection, optical networking, and utility communications standards (desired) • Schedule flexibility to work across global time zones (desired) • Willingness to travel 25–50% (desired) • Lean process/transformation experience (desired) Benefits: • Relocation Assistance Provided: No
