Full Description

High Travel Requirements (75%+) The Construction Quality and Safety Coordinator will support the safe and high-quality installation of pneumatic tube systems on construction sites. This role ensures adherence to design specifications, installation details, performance standards, and safety regulations while promoting a strong culture of safety and quality. Additionally, the coordinator will assist in preconstruction activities, including reviewing system layouts, identifying potential risks, analyzing contract and bid documents, ensuring alignment with project specifications, and assisting in assembling estimates before installation begins. This position requires frequent travel, including air travel and overnight stays, to project sites to perform inspections, collaborate with field teams, and maintain consistent quality and safety oversight • * High Travel Requirements for this position, 75-9 1. Quality Control • Review pneumatic tube system layouts, submittals, and specifications to ensure compliance during installation • Inspect materials (e.g., tubing, blowers, transfer units, stations) and verify proper handling, storage, and installation methods • Document and track non-conformances, working with field teams to implement corrective actions • Ensure system readiness meets client requirements through final inspections and documentation 2. Safety Oversight • Implement and manage site-specific safety plans for pneumatic tube system installations • Conduct job site safety audits and hazard assessments, ensuring compliance with OSHA, company, and customer safety standards • Review incidents and support corrective action planning to mitigate risks and improve safety outcomes 3. Coordination and Documentation • Collaborate with general contractors, installation subcontractors, and internal teams to align quality and safety expectations • Maintain detailed records of inspections, safety audits, and compliance reporys • Provide structured reporting to project management on quality and safety performance 4. Other tasks, as required Requirements • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience • Experience: Construction safety and quality control experience is preferred, ideally involving pneumatic tube systems or specialty mechanical installations. Experience overseeing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) installations in healthcare construction is highly preferred • Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical safety standards, ability to read and interpret floor plans and construction details, excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities • Work Environment: Ability to travel to various project sites (travel 75%+) and work in active construction environments, including at height and in confined spaces Physical Requirements • Must be able to walk, climb ladders, and navigate mechanical/electrical rooms for extended periods • Capable of lifting 50 lbs. and handling physical demands of site inspections • Able to work in varied environments, including hospitals and active construction sites Preferred Qualifications • Experience overseeing installations of pneumatic tube systems in healthcare, commercial, or industrial settings • Familiarity with healthcare and/or commercial construction processes • OSHA 30-Hour; additional certifications (e.g., CQM, CHST, confined space, CPR/First Aid) Salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skillset.
