Organization: Sutter Health Alliance - Valley Position Overview: Plays a critical role and is responsible for defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in the development of health insurance products. Leads from product conception to launch and manages the product portfolio for continued success in the commercial employer market. Works closely with cross-functional teams to grow existing products and bring new innovative products to market, requiring this individual to build collaborative relationships with all levels of staff, and across Sutter Health departments. Day-to-day activities include business model development and market analyses; evaluating and implementing new laws and regulations from the Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) related to product design and benefits, business planning and modeling; product lifecycle management; and go-to-market strategies for external engagement. Job Description: EDUCATION: Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. Bachelor's: Business, Finance, Health Administration or related field TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 5 years recent relevant experience SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Deep knowledge and understanding in all phases of product management from concept to launch at a health insurance / health plan company. A proven track record of bringing innovative ideas to market Knowledge and understanding of understanding of product management best practices and methodologie Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneousl Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence and inspire team members Ability to understand customers, deeply explore and articulate problems and solutions. Can think strategically to set a product vision and strategy for long term growt Knowledge of the Northern California health care industry preferre Ability to convey complex technical concepts, to translate complex data into simple, written and graphic presentations, and to communicate technical issues and solutions in business terms Demonstrated critical thinking and quantitative and financial analysis skills Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet (data management, manipulation/analysis and formatting), and project management and presentation programs Ability to work independently and as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude. Pay Range is $138,881.60 to $208,332.80 / annual salary. Bay Area Pay Range is $157,830.00 to $236,745.00 / annual salary. The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
