Full Description

We are looking for a Cashier at office building cafeteria / convenience store. Cashier responsibilities may include receiving payments and issuing receipts, inputing food orders, serving drinks, and keeping track of all cash and credit transactions. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service position and good knowledge of how cash registers operate. You should be available to take evening and weekend shifts occasionally. Ultimately, you’ll ensure all transactions run smoothly and will help us maximize customer satisfaction. Responsibilities • Manage transactions with customers using cash registers • Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate • Collect payments whether in cash or credit • Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets • Redeem stamps and coupons • Cross-sell products and introduce new ones • Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information • Greet customers when entering or leaving the store • Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas • Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies • Handle merchandise returns and exchanges Skills • Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales • Basic PC knowledge • Cashier • Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS • Good math skills • Strong communication and time management skills • Customer satisfaction-oriented • High school degree • Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus Job Types: Part-time Salary: Starting at $16.50 per hour Schedule: • 8:30AM-2:30PM • Day shift • Monday to Friday Experience: • Cashiering: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: • One location Hours per week: • 30-35 Pay frequency: • Every other week Paid Training: • Yes Typical start time: • 8:30AM Typical end time: • 2:30-3PM This Job Is: • A “Fair Chance” job (you or the employer follow Fair Chance hiring practices when performing background checks) • Open to applicants who do not have a college diploma Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $16.50 per hour Expected hours: No less than 30 per week Benefits: • Dental insurance • Employee discount • Health insurance Experience: • Cashier: 1 year (Preferred) • Customer Service: 1 year (Required) Work Location: In person
