Reports To: CEO Exemption Status: Exempt Job Description Overview: The group provides orthopedic care at the highest standard. Our practice consists of 11 locations in the Greater Birmingham area and across Central Alabama. We offer our patients one-on-one care in modern, state-of-the-art facilities. We are completely digital, creating cost effective, secure and streamlined medical records for the patient. The group is committed to making a relevant impact in the communities we serve. What you will do: • Be a liaison between clinic staff and patients, physicians, administration, and our billing team • Stay in compliance with all legal requirements and ethical standards • Answer and handle escalated account calls concerning patient and insurance balances, insurance changes, patient information updates, and refiling insurance information in an efficient and timely manner. • Demonstrate initiative in accomplishing practice goals • Consistently create a positive work environment by being team-oriented and patient-focused • Responsible for employee scheduling, inventory assessment, supply ordering, employee training and other duties as assigned or needed within the office • Establishes and monitors payments in process, ensures capture of all necessary information for immediate billing • Establishes / monitors charge entry process for accurate and timely filing • Monitors front desk payment posting for accurate and timely posting • Facilitates yearly reviews for clinical employees • Reviewing PTO requests, approving / denying while ensuring appropriate staffing levels · Managing PTO balances · Approve timecards each pay period · Maintains working relationship with external IT consultant to ensure highest possible IT efficiencies · Notify IT company of new hires to obtain windows login and email address · Assess IT needs · Facilitate orders as necessary (Computers, scanners, printers, etc.) upon Administrator approval. · Other duties as assigned by Physicians or Administration Position Requirements Qualifications: · HR experience preferred · Knowledge of US labor laws in HR related subject matter, including: recruitment & selection, workers compensation, disability management, compensation, benefits & data privacy, preferred. · Strong communication skills - written and verbal. · Excellent organizational skills and analytical abilities This Job Description is not a complete statement of all duties and responsibilities comprising this posting.
