The Opportunity Supplier.io is looking to grow our data engineering team. To support Supplier.io projected growth, we must take advantage of the features and functionality of data-based services and technologies. The Data Engineer will be a key part of our technology team working to automate and modernize our data systems and processes. We will take advantage of leading-edge technologies and solutions to drive the scalability of our organization. What You Will Do Help execute our cohesive data strategy that aligns with company objectives. Design, build and maintain our scalable and reliable data infrastructure that supports our advanced data platform. Explore and integrate new technologies and methodologies to enhance data processing, storage, and analysis capabilities. Drive continuous improvement and optimization of data systems. Work in a Snowflake-centric cloud environment, utilizing Azure DevOps for CI/CD and version control, and Jira for project management. Partner with our infrastructure team to support databases and services according to best practice and industry standards. Create and maintain technical documentation including runbooks, environment and application diagrams, data flow maps, security, etc. Perform other duties as assigned. What You will Need to Succeed: Bachelor of Computer Science, Management Information System, Engineering, Data Science, or related field. 4+ years of experience in data engineering. Experience designing, building, and supporting Snowflake based solutions. Experience designing and implementing large-scale data solutions in a cloud environment. Expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing principles. Familiarity with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow) and transformation frameworks (e.g., dbt). Experience working in an agile environment. Experience with Snowflake, Python, and SQL. Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira). Familiarity with big data technologies and data pipeline tools. The ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical teams is a must. Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Results-oriented focus. The ability to work independently.
