Full Description

Lead. Inspire. Play. Make a difference every day. NW Austin & Pflugerville, TX | Full-Time, Year-Round Do you love working with children, mentoring others, and helping programs thrive? Are you looking for a leadership role that blends education, coaching, and operations, with opportunities to grow as our company expands? If so, this may be the perfect fit for you. About the Role We are seeking a passionate and hands-on Director of Coaching & Operations to join our children’s soccer and t-ball team. In this role, you’ll work side by side with the Executive Director to lead both on the field and behind the scenes. You’ll coach classes, mentor staff, build strong family and school relationships, and manage the day-to-day operations that make our programs successful. This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience in early childhood education, youth sports programming, or teaching, who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role with long-term career growth potential. What You’ll Do • Coach & Lead: Deliver fun, age-appropriate lessons (ages 1–8), step in to lead when needed, and ensure quality across all sites. • Mentor & Train: Recruit, hire, and train new coaches while providing ongoing mentorship, encouragement, and feedback. • Manage & Organize: Oversee scheduling, staff assignments, and communication with schools and sites. • Support & Supervise: Visit partner locations weekly, observe sessions, and guide coaches to maintain consistency and quality. • Engage Families: Build positive relationships with parents through clear communication and a welcoming, professional presence. • Grow Programs: Support marketing events, help expand into existing and new schools and community sites, and contribute to the long-term growth of our programs. What We’re Looking For • Experience: 1–2+ years working with children (teaching, early childhood education, youth sports, or similar). • Leadership: Strong mentoring and leadership skills, with experience guiding or supervising staff or volunteers. • Organization: Excellent at scheduling, planning, and managing multiple priorities. • Energy & Passion: Outgoing, enthusiastic, and motivated to inspire both kids and coaches. • Flexibility: Comfortable with a hybrid role—coaching on-site and managing operations across multiple locations. • Local Knowledge: Based in Greater Austin with reliable transportation to sites in Georgetown, Leander, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Round Rock, Lakeway, Bee Cave, Spicewood, and North/South Austin. • Professional Skills: Comfortable using MS Office, CRM systems, and administrative tools. Why Join Us? At Soccer Stars and Little Rookies, powered by Youth Athletes United, our mission is simple: every child is an athlete. For over 23 years, we’ve helped kids build skills, confidence, and teamwork, making us the largest youth sports platform in the U.S. Joining our team means becoming part of a supportive, collaborative, and growing organization where your background in education, sports, or youth programming can truly shine. As we expand in Austin and beyond, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your career right alongside us. • Starting Salary: $36,000–$44,000, with bonus opportunities and regular performance-based reviews. • Health Insurance Bonus toward individual coverage. • Vehicle Maintenance Bonus to offset travel costs. • Paid Time Off (PTO). • Sponsored professional development and certifications (sports instruction, child development, CPR/First Aid). • Free & discounted programs for family and friends. • Flexible schedule with weekends/holidays off (except limited Saturday mornings). • Clear pathway to expanded leadership opportunities and potential ownership within our growing company. Join us in helping every child discover their inner athlete while you grow your leadership career!
