Full Description

• **This position will support the Central Region (Iowa, Oklahoma + Texas) and the Southeast Region (Georgia, Kentucky + Tennessee) and will be based out of the Home Office in Dallas, TX*** The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the successful partnership and performance of their direct report team, as assigned. This role may be a member of the field-based leadership team and expected to play an active role in discussion of any nature in helping drive the human capital strategy for Suntex Marinas. The Human Resources Manager partners with management and staff of various levels to facilitate success and communicate various Human Resources policies, programs, practices, procedures, laws, and government regulations. The Human Resources Manager has excellent interpersonal skills and is well-versed in employee relations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Mediate and resolve high volume employee relations concerns and conduct thorough investigations, as necessary • Manage, lead, and reinforce assigned Human Resources initiatives such as recognition and training initiatives through partnership with the marina operations team • Partner with the assigned Senior Regional Vice Presidents, Regional Directors and Managers, and General Managers to assess, anticipate, and address all Human Resources needs and compliance factors • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws to partner with the benefits team in leave management assistance • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable Human Resources federal, state, and local requirements pertinent to the day-to-day management of team members • Lead and manage strong conflict resolution strategies with and between others with the goal of providing service and organizational success to assigned teams • Perform all other duties as assigned EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required, equivalent work experience may be considered • 4 to 6 years of Human Resources experience required • SHRM certification a plus • California Human Resources experience is required • Knowledge of HRIS systems, ADP experience preferred • Ability to handle sensitive and highly personal information daily while maintaining confidentiality in a mature and professional manner WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • The team member works in an office environment at the Dallas Home Office location spending most of their time seated at a desk with a chair for extended periods of time. • Travel is required for 30% of the year • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to fifteen (15) pounds • Must be able to swim or be willing to wear a life jacket when visiting site locations as the locations are marinas surrounded by water
