Sunlighten's Senior Financial Analyst will be a part of our dynamic finance team and will help drive Sunlighten’s strategic growth. In this role, you will go beyond analyzing numbers to uncover the story behind the data, translating complex financial and operational information into clear insights that guide business decisions. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Leadership to identify opportunities, influence strategic initiatives, and enhance overall performance. Duties/Responsibilities: Leverage financial and operational data from multiple sources to design and maintain sophisticated data models, develop advanced Business Intelligence solutions in Power BI, and create DAX measures and interactive dashboards to deliver actionable business insights. Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and ongoing financial planning processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic priorities. Conduct variance analyses against budget, forecast, and key business decisions, highlighting risks, opportunities, and recommendations for leadership. Collaborate with department leaders to review monthly results, assess performance, and develop actionable plans to drive continuous operational improvements. Perform ongoing financial and operational analyses to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost optimization, and profitability enhancement. Actively engaging with business teams to implement recommendations. Develop pricing strategies and perform product profitability analyses to inform decision-making and maximize margin. Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership to support strategic decision-making. Perform other duties as required to support the finance team and the broader organization. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in consumer products, wellness, or manufacturing industries. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling. Experience with financial systems such as NetSuite or similar ERP platforms. Advanced Power BI experience (data modeling, DAX, dashboard/report development) required. Ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling insights for non-financial stakeholders. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment through data-driven driven insights Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
