Full Description

An immediate opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to provide dedicated support in a center-based classroom setting for grades K-3. This role involves working with students who have moderate to severe special needs, supporting their educational growth and development in a collaborative environment. Location: Northern Denver suburbs, Colorado Position Type: Travel assignment within the Denver area Grade Levels: Kindergarten through 3rd Grade Caseload: Up to 5 students (currently 3 students) Support Staff: Two dedicated paraprofessionals available in the classroom Assignment Duration: ASAP through Friday, May 29, 2026 Key Responsibilities: • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with moderate to severe special needs. • Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals to deliver high-quality instruction and support. • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet diverse learning requirements. • Maintain compliance with state educational standards and special education regulations. • Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with families and school staff. Qualifications & Experience: • Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education teaching certification. • Experience working with moderate to severe special education populations in a K-3 classroom setting. • Strong classroom management skills and ability to work collaboratively with support staff. • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment. This position includes a prescreen call followed by a panel interview to ensure the best match for the students and school community.
