Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician at Sunbelt Rentals, you will play a critical role in ensuring our equipment is maintained, repaired, and ready for use by our customers. You will be the technical expert who supports our fleet's operational reliability, directly impacting customer satisfaction and safety. What You'll Do: - You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of rental equipment. - You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to diagnose problems accurately. - You will conduct safety inspections to ensure all equipment meets regulatory and company standards. - You will document all service activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance. - You will collaborate with the rental team to coordinate equipment availability and service schedules. - You will provide technical support and guidance to customers and internal teams. - You will stay updated on new equipment technologies and repair techniques. - You will ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures during service operations. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance or field service technician roles. - Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in the equipment rental or construction industry. - Certifications in equipment repair or maintenance (e.g., ASE, EPA). - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Ability to operate heavy machinery or specialized equipment.
