Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician at Sunbelt Rentals, you will play a critical role in ensuring our equipment is maintained, repaired, and ready for use. You will be the frontline expert who supports our customers by delivering exceptional service and technical expertise directly at job sites. What You'll Do: - You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of rental equipment including pumps, scaffolding, and construction tools. - You will perform routine maintenance and safety inspections to ensure equipment reliability and compliance. - You will respond promptly to service calls and provide on-site technical support to customers. - You will maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with dispatch and management. - You will assist in training customers and staff on proper equipment use and safety protocols. - You will manage inventory of parts and tools necessary for repairs and maintenance. - You will collaborate with the rental team to ensure equipment availability and customer satisfaction. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment repair or field service technician roles. - Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel to various job sites. - Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with clients. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with construction or industrial equipment rental companies. - Certifications in equipment repair, hydraulics, or electrical systems. - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Forklift or heavy equipment operator certifications.
