Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician at Sunbelt Rentals, you will play a critical role in ensuring our equipment is maintained, repaired, and ready for use. You will be the frontline expert who supports our customers by delivering reliable service and technical expertise, helping to minimize downtime and maximize productivity on job sites. What You'll Do: - You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of rental equipment. - You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to diagnose problems accurately. - You will provide on-site service calls to customer locations, ensuring timely and effective solutions. - You will maintain detailed service records and communicate equipment status to management. - You will collaborate with the rental team to coordinate equipment availability and service schedules. - You will ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all service activities. - You will assist in training new technicians and sharing best practices. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance or field service technician roles. - Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with construction or heavy equipment. - Certifications in equipment repair or maintenance (e.g., ASE, EPA). - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in the field.
