Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician at Sunbelt Rentals, you will play a critical role in ensuring our equipment is maintained, repaired, and ready for use at customer job sites. Your expertise will help minimize downtime and maximize customer satisfaction by delivering timely and effective service. What You'll Do: - You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of rental equipment. - You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to diagnose problems accurately. - You will travel to customer job sites to provide on-site service and support. - You will maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with dispatch and management. - You will ensure all equipment meets safety and quality standards before returning to service. - You will assist in training junior technicians and sharing best practices. - You will manage inventory of parts and tools necessary for repairs. - You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service efficiency. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience as a field service technician or in equipment maintenance. - Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and customer service skills. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with construction or heavy equipment. - Certification in equipment repair or related technical fields. - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field environment.
