Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician at Sunbelt Rentals, you will play a critical role in ensuring our equipment is maintained, repaired, and ready for use. Your expertise will help minimize downtime and maximize customer satisfaction by delivering timely and effective service directly at job sites. What You'll Do: - You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of rental equipment on-site. - You will perform routine maintenance and safety inspections to ensure equipment reliability. - You will communicate effectively with customers to understand issues and provide solutions. - You will document all service activities accurately and maintain service records. - You will collaborate with the rental team to coordinate equipment availability and service schedules. - You will adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while working in the field. - You will assist in training new technicians and sharing best practices. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance or field service technician roles. - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with heavy construction or industrial equipment. - Certifications in equipment repair or maintenance (e.g., ASE, EPA). - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Welding or fabrication skills.
