Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician at Sunbelt Rentals, you will play a critical role in ensuring our equipment is maintained, repaired, and ready for use. Your expertise will help minimize downtime and maximize customer satisfaction by delivering prompt and effective service directly at job sites. What You'll Do: - You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of rental equipment on-site. - You will perform routine maintenance and safety inspections to ensure equipment reliability. - You will communicate effectively with customers to understand issues and provide technical support. - You will document all service activities accurately and timely in our system. - You will collaborate with the rental team to coordinate equipment availability and service schedules. - You will adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while working in the field. - You will assist in training new technicians and sharing best practices. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment repair or field service technician roles. - Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Good communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with construction or heavy equipment. - Certifications in equipment repair or maintenance (e.g., ASE, EPA). - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Ability to operate company vehicles and trailers safely.
