Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician at Sunbelt Rentals, you will play a critical role in ensuring our equipment is maintained, repaired, and ready for use. You will be the frontline expert who supports our customers by delivering exceptional service and technical expertise, helping to minimize downtime and maximize productivity on job sites. What You'll Do: - You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of rental equipment on-site and in the workshop. - You will perform routine maintenance and safety inspections to ensure equipment reliability. - You will collaborate with the rental team to coordinate equipment delivery and service schedules. - You will maintain accurate service records and report on equipment status. - You will provide technical support and training to customers and team members. - You will adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while working in various environments. - You will assist in inventory management and parts ordering to support repair activities. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance or field service technician roles. - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with heavy construction or industrial equipment. - Certifications in equipment repair or maintenance (e.g., ASE, EPA). - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Welding or fabrication skills.
