Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician at Sunbelt Rentals, you will play a critical role in ensuring our equipment is maintained, repaired, and ready for use. You will be the frontline expert who supports our customers by delivering reliable service and technical expertise, helping to minimize downtime and maximize productivity on job sites. What You'll Do: - You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of rental equipment. - You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues to provide timely solutions. - You will travel to customer sites to deliver on-site service and support. - You will maintain accurate service records and report on equipment status. - You will collaborate with the rental team to ensure equipment availability and readiness. - You will adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times. - You will assist in training new technicians and sharing best practices. - You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance or field service. - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with construction or heavy equipment. - Certifications in equipment repair or maintenance. - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours.
