Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician at Sunbelt Rentals, you will play a critical role in ensuring our equipment is maintained, repaired, and ready for use at customer job sites. Your expertise will help minimize downtime and maximize customer satisfaction by delivering timely and effective service. What You'll Do: - You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of rental equipment on-site. - You will perform routine maintenance and safety inspections to ensure equipment reliability. - You will communicate effectively with customers to understand their equipment needs and provide technical support. - You will document all service activities accurately and maintain service records. - You will collaborate with the rental team to coordinate equipment availability and service schedules. - You will adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while working in the field. - You will assist in training new technicians and sharing best practices. What You Bring: - You bring at least 3 years of experience in equipment repair or field service, preferably in construction or industrial equipment. - You have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - You possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. - You have excellent communication and customer service skills. - You are able to work independently and manage your time effectively. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with diesel engines and hydraulic systems. - Certifications in equipment repair or maintenance. - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Previous experience working in a rental equipment environment.
