Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician at Sunbelt Rentals, you will play a critical role in ensuring our equipment is maintained, repaired, and ready for use. Your expertise will help minimize downtime and maximize customer satisfaction by delivering prompt and effective service directly at job sites. What You'll Do: - You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of rental equipment including pumps, scaffolding, and construction tools. - You will perform routine maintenance and safety inspections to ensure equipment meets company and regulatory standards. - You will respond promptly to service calls and provide on-site technical support to customers. - You will maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with dispatch and management teams. - You will assist in training new technicians and share best practices to improve team performance. - You will ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company policies during service operations. - You will manage inventory of parts and tools necessary for repairs and maintenance. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years experience as a field service technician or in equipment maintenance. - Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to travel to various job sites. - Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with clients. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with rental equipment or in the construction industry. - Certifications in equipment repair, hydraulics, or electrical systems. - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Additional technical training or vocational education related to equipment servicing.
