Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician at Sunbelt Rentals, you will play a critical role in ensuring our equipment is maintained, repaired, and ready for use. You will be the frontline expert who supports our customers by delivering reliable service and technical expertise directly at job sites, helping to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. What You'll Do: - You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of rental equipment on-site. - You will perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment safety and functionality. - You will communicate effectively with customers to understand their equipment needs and provide technical support. - You will document service activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance. - You will collaborate with the rental team to coordinate equipment availability and service schedules. - You will adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while working in various environments. - You will assist in training new technicians and sharing best practices. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance or field service technician roles. - Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field environment. - Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with construction or industrial equipment. - Certifications in equipment repair or maintenance (e.g., ASE, EPA). - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Ability to operate company vehicles and equipment safely.
