Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician at Sunbelt Rentals, you will play a critical role in ensuring our equipment is maintained, repaired, and ready for use. You will be the frontline expert who supports our customers by delivering reliable service and technical expertise directly at job sites. What You'll Do: - You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of rental equipment. - You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues to ensure equipment functionality. - You will provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for customers. - You will maintain accurate service records and report on equipment status. - You will collaborate with the rental team to coordinate equipment availability and service schedules. - You will ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all service activities. - You will assist in training new technicians and sharing best practices. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance or field service roles. - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with construction or industrial equipment. - Certifications in equipment repair or maintenance. - Familiarity with safety regulations and OSHA standards. - Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
