Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician 2, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our extensive equipment fleet to ensure optimal performance and safety. You will work directly with customers and internal teams to troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, and support rental operations, helping Sunbelt Rentals maintain its reputation as the industry leader. What You'll Do: - You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of rental equipment including pumps, scaffolding, and construction tools. - You will perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment safety and reliability. - You will collaborate with rental coordinators and customer service teams to schedule and prioritize service calls. - You will provide technical support and training to customers on proper equipment use and safety protocols. - You will document all service activities accurately in our maintenance tracking system. - You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues efficiently to minimize downtime. - You will ensure compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements. - You will assist in inventory management and ordering of parts and supplies as needed. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance or field service technician roles. - Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in the equipment rental or construction industry. - Certifications in equipment repair or safety (e.g., OSHA, EPA). - Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Ability to operate heavy machinery or commercial vehicles.
