Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician 2, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing rental equipment to ensure it meets safety and performance standards. You will work directly with customers and internal teams to troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, and support the operational success of Sunbelt Rentals. What You'll Do: - You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of rental equipment including pumps, scaffolding, and construction tools. - You will perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment safety and reliability. - You will collaborate with dispatch and rental teams to prioritize service calls and manage repair schedules. - You will provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly and professionally with clients regarding equipment status and usage. - You will document all service activities accurately in company systems. - You will adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while working on-site and in the shop. - You will assist in training junior technicians and share best practices. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service or equipment repair, preferably in construction or industrial equipment. - Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with heavy equipment or rental equipment maintenance. - Technical certifications related to equipment repair or maintenance. - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Ability to operate company vehicles and trailers safely.
