Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician 2, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing rental equipment to ensure it meets safety and performance standards. You will work directly with customers and internal teams to troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, and support the operational readiness of our equipment fleet. What You'll Do: - You will diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment on-site and in the shop. - You will perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to maximize equipment uptime. - You will collaborate with rental coordinators and customers to schedule service and communicate repair status. - You will maintain accurate service records and parts inventory. - You will ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all service activities. - You will assist in training junior technicians and sharing technical knowledge. - You will respond promptly to emergency service calls to minimize customer downtime. What You Bring: - You bring at least 3 years of experience in equipment repair, preferably in construction or industrial rental equipment. - You have strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills. - You possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. - You have the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. - You demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills. - You are physically capable of performing hands-on repair work in various environments. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with diesel engine repair and diagnostics. - Certification in equipment maintenance or related technical fields. - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Previous experience working in a fast-paced rental or construction environment.
