Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician 2, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing rental equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. You will work directly with customers and internal teams to troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, and support the operational success of Sunbelt Rentals’ extensive equipment fleet. What You'll Do: - You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of rental equipment including pumps, scaffolding, and construction tools. - You will perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment safety and reliability. - You will respond promptly to service calls and provide on-site technical support to customers. - You will document all service activities accurately and maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance. - You will collaborate with the rental and sales teams to communicate equipment status and availability. - You will ensure compliance with company safety standards and industry regulations. - You will assist in training junior technicians and share technical knowledge to improve team performance. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance or field service technician roles. - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to work on diverse equipment. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to travel to job sites. - Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. - Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in the equipment rental or construction industry. - Certifications in equipment repair, hydraulics, or electrical systems. - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Ability to operate heavy machinery or specialized equipment.
