Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician 2, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing rental equipment to ensure it meets safety and performance standards. You will work directly with customers and internal teams to troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, and support the operational readiness of our extensive equipment fleet. What You'll Do: - You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of construction and industrial equipment. - You will perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability. - You will respond promptly to service calls and provide on-site technical support to customers. - You will document all service activities accurately and maintain detailed records. - You will collaborate with the rental and sales teams to coordinate equipment availability and service schedules. - You will ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all service activities. - You will assist in training junior technicians and share technical knowledge. What You Bring: - You bring at least 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance or field service roles. - You have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - You possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. - You have the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. - You demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills. - You are physically capable of handling heavy equipment and working in various weather conditions. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with diesel engines and hydraulic systems. - Certifications in equipment repair or technical training programs. - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Previous experience working in the equipment rental industry.
