Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician 2, you will play a critical role in maintaining and servicing our extensive equipment fleet to ensure optimal performance and safety. This position requires hands-on technical expertise and a customer-focused approach to support our clients and keep their projects running smoothly. What You'll Do: - You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of rental equipment including pumps, scaffolding, and construction tools. - You will perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime. - You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to identify and resolve issues promptly. - You will document all service activities accurately and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers. - You will ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all service operations. - You will assist in training junior technicians and share best practices to improve team performance. - You will manage inventory of parts and tools necessary for repairs and maintenance. - You will respond to emergency service calls and provide timely solutions to minimize client disruptions. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service or equipment maintenance, preferably in construction or industrial equipment. - Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. - Proficient in using diagnostic tools and reading technical manuals and schematics. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel to job sites. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certification in equipment repair or a related technical field. - Experience with heavy machinery or rental equipment servicing. - Familiarity with safety regulations and OSHA standards. - Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
