Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician 2, you will play a critical role in maintaining and servicing our extensive equipment fleet to ensure optimal performance and safety. This position requires hands-on technical expertise and a customer-focused approach to support our clients and keep their projects running smoothly. What You'll Do: - You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of rental equipment including pumps, scaffolding, and construction tools. - You will perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime. - You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to identify and resolve issues promptly. - You will document all service activities accurately and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers. - You will ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all service operations. - You will assist in training junior technicians and share best practices to improve team performance. - You will manage inventory of parts and tools necessary for repairs and maintenance. - You will respond to emergency service calls and provide timely solutions to minimize client disruptions. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance or field service technician roles. - Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel to job sites. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision. - Strong communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and team members. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certification in equipment repair or related technical fields. - Experience working with rental equipment or in the construction industry. - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Welding or fabrication skills.
