Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician 2, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing rental equipment to ensure it meets safety and performance standards. You will work directly with customers and internal teams to troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, and support the operational success of Sunbelt Rentals’ extensive equipment fleet. What You'll Do: - You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of rental equipment including pumps, scaffolding, and construction tools. - You will perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment safety and reliability. - You will respond promptly to service calls and provide on-site technical support to customers. - You will document all service activities accurately and maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance. - You will collaborate with the rental and sales teams to ensure equipment availability and customer satisfaction. - You will adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while working in the field. - You will assist in training junior technicians and share technical knowledge to improve team performance. What You Bring: - You have at least 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance or field service technician roles. - You possess strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - You have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. - You are capable of working independently and managing time effectively in a field environment. - You have excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with heavy construction equipment or rental machinery. - Certifications in equipment repair or technical training relevant to the industry. - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Ability to operate forklifts or other heavy machinery.
