Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician 2, you will play a critical role in maintaining and servicing our extensive equipment fleet to ensure optimal performance and safety. This position requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused approach to support our clients and keep their projects running smoothly. What You'll Do: - You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of rental equipment including pumps, scaffolding, and construction tools. - You will perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and safety. - You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to quickly resolve issues. - You will document all service activities accurately and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers. - You will assist in training junior technicians and share best practices to improve team performance. - You will ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. - You will manage parts inventory and order supplies as needed to support repair work. - You will provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to service calls and minimizing equipment downtime. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience as a field service technician or in a similar technical role. - Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience repairing construction and industrial equipment. - Proficiency in diagnosing electrical and hydraulic systems. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-oriented mindset. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certification in equipment repair or related technical fields. - Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Familiarity with safety regulations and OSHA standards. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field environment.
