Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician 2, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing rental equipment to ensure it meets safety and performance standards. You will work directly with customers and internal teams to troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, and support the operational success of Sunbelt Rentals’ fleet. What You'll Do: - You will diagnose and repair a wide range of equipment including pumps, scaffolding, and construction tools. - You will perform routine maintenance and safety inspections to ensure equipment reliability. - You will respond promptly to service calls and provide on-site technical support to customers. - You will document all service activities accurately in company systems. - You will collaborate with the rental and sales teams to coordinate equipment availability and repairs. - You will maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols. - You will assist in training junior technicians and sharing technical knowledge. What You Bring: - You have at least 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance or field service roles. - You possess strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - You have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. - You are comfortable working independently and managing your time effectively. - You have excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with heavy construction equipment or rental industry tools. - Certifications in equipment repair or safety standards. - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Ability to work flexible hours including occasional weekends.
