Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician 2, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our extensive equipment fleet to ensure optimal performance and safety. You will work directly with customers and internal teams to troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, and support rental operations, helping Sunbelt Rentals maintain its reputation as the industry leader. What You'll Do: - You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of rental equipment including pumps, scaffolding, and construction tools. - You will perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment safety and reliability. - You will respond promptly to service calls and provide on-site technical support to customers. - You will document all service activities accurately and maintain detailed records. - You will collaborate with rental and sales teams to coordinate equipment availability and service schedules. - You will ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all service activities. - You will assist in training junior technicians and share technical knowledge. - You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service efficiency and customer satisfaction. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance or field service technician roles. - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with heavy construction or industrial equipment. - Certifications in equipment repair or maintenance (e.g., ASE, EPA). - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Welding or fabrication skills.
