Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician at Sunbelt Rentals, you will play a critical role in ensuring our equipment is maintained, repaired, and ready for use. You will be the frontline expert who supports our customers by delivering reliable service and technical expertise, helping to minimize downtime and maximize productivity on job sites. What You'll Do: - You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of rental equipment. - You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to diagnose problems accurately. - You will provide on-site support to customers, ensuring equipment is functioning safely and efficiently. - You will document service activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance. - You will collaborate with the rental team to coordinate equipment availability and service schedules. - You will adhere to safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment. - You will assist in training new technicians and sharing best practices. - You will stay updated on the latest equipment technologies and repair techniques. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance or field service technician roles. - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with construction or heavy equipment. - Certifications in equipment repair or maintenance. - Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards. - Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
