Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician 1 at Sunbelt Rentals, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing our extensive equipment fleet. Your expertise will ensure that all rental equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for use, directly contributing to our customers' project success and satisfaction. What You'll Do: - You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of rental equipment including pumps, scaffolding, and construction tools. - You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to diagnose problems efficiently. - You will conduct safety inspections to ensure all equipment meets company and regulatory standards. - You will document service activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance. - You will collaborate with the rental team to coordinate equipment availability and service schedules. - You will provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and offering technical support. - You will assist in inventory management by tracking parts and supplies needed for repairs. - You will adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while working in the field. What You Bring: - Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in equipment maintenance or a related technical field. - Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. - Basic knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in the equipment rental or construction industry. - Certification in equipment repair or a related technical discipline. - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
