Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician 1, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing our extensive equipment fleet to ensure reliability and safety for our customers. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance, supporting our mission to be the customer's first choice in the equipment rental industry. What You'll Do: - You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of rental equipment including pumps, scaffolding, and construction tools. - You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to diagnose equipment problems accurately. - You will ensure all serviced equipment meets safety and quality standards before returning to the fleet. - You will document all maintenance and repair activities in compliance with company policies. - You will collaborate with the service team to prioritize and manage repair schedules effectively. - You will assist in inventory management by tracking parts and tools needed for repairs. - You will provide excellent customer service by communicating equipment status and repair timelines. - You will adhere to all safety protocols and promote a safe working environment. What You Bring: - Minimum of 1 year of experience in equipment maintenance or mechanical repair. - Basic knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with construction or rental equipment. - Certification in equipment repair or a related technical field. - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Ability to operate forklifts or other heavy machinery.
