Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician at Sunbelt Rentals, you will play a critical role in ensuring our equipment is maintained, repaired, and ready for use. You will be the frontline expert who supports our customers by delivering exceptional service and technical expertise, helping to minimize downtime and maximize productivity on job sites. What You'll Do: - You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of rental equipment. - You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues to provide timely solutions. - You will conduct safety inspections to ensure all equipment meets regulatory standards. - You will collaborate with the rental team to coordinate equipment availability and service schedules. - You will maintain accurate service records and report on equipment status. - You will provide technical support and training to customers and staff as needed. - You will troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions in the field. - You will adhere to company safety policies and promote a culture of safety. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance or field service technician roles. - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with heavy construction or industrial equipment. - Certifications in equipment repair or maintenance (e.g., ASE, EPA). - Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Welding or fabrication skills.
