SummitET is seeking a Licensing Support Specialist to support the South Carolina Radiation Control Bureau as a 1099 Independent Contractor. This part-time consulting role (30–40 hours/month) is remote with periodic coordination with SCRCB staff. Responsibilities: • Support SCRCB in completing radiological materials (RAM) licensing actions. • Review RAM licensee requests/applications and draft RAM licenses with appropriate updates for QA review. • Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) review of RAM licenses, including providing detailed feedback to SCRCB staff. Educational Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Health Physics, Radiological Sciences, or related field. • Completion of NRC License Reviewer Qualification Journal (per NRC Manual Chapter 1246). Required Skills: • Demonstrated knowledge of NRC regulations (10 CFR Parts 30, 33, 35, 40). • Experience drafting and reviewing RAM licenses. • Strong QA review and documentation skills. • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to regulatory staff.
