As a Senior Staff Engineer at Stryker Neurovascular, you’ll provide technical leadership and drive innovation in the development of life-saving technologies that address critical neurovascular needs. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead validation activities for new extrusion process introductions, shaping the future of catheter design and manufacturing. What you will do: • Work with a multidisciplinary team to support new product and process introductions with a focus on Extrusion • Apply and mentor others on advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts Conduct, design, and select advanced prototyping and testing Develop extrusion specific testing and inspection protocols • Write and execute process validation protocols and reports for new product introductions and re-validations due to process /material improvements utilizing scientific / technical knowledge • Mentor others as a business unit expert on the usage of industry standards, including design requirements and test strategies per applicable regulations Participate in PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP and PPAP generation • Work cooperatively with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management to ensure project success • Identify and lead the creation of or improvements to procedures, policies, processes, systems, and technology required • Develop, Research, Prototype, leveraging multiple methodologies for evaluation • Hold self and others accountable to deliver high quality results with passion, energy and drive to meet business priorities Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering • 6+ years of work experience Preferred Qualifications: • Polymer, Plastics, process experience • Demonstrable strong analytical & problem-solving skills, a process improvement orientation, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment • Experience of Design for Manufacturing, capability studies, verification and validation • In-depth knowledge of materials, manufacturing and processing methods and technologies to support complex product development • Ability to communicate complex plans and technical information to team members • Confident and effective decision maker, with a proven technical leadership ability to negotiate and influence others
