Bachelor's degree, 10+ years relevant experience, strong understanding of sales operations, territory analysis, sales compensation, business and financial strategy, and advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
The Senior Manager supports sales management by enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness. Coordinates projects, develops processes and procedures, and contributes to sales support system requirements. Tracks sales activities to improve performance metrics and processes. This management position drives results through others, including direct subordinates, subordinate managers/supervisors, or non-direct reports. It requires a comprehensive understanding of discipline concepts and broader principles to address issues beyond the immediate area. Responsibilities include full team management, including management of numerous teams of managers/professionals, planning the teams’ future needs and operations, and financial accountability for independent budgets. What you will do: • Provide strategic decision support for sales leadership by generating sales insights through analytics, KPIs, and metrics. Work closely with management to develop sales structures, performance goals, and objectives to maximize revenue potential. • Lead and manage the Sales Operations team. Source, coach, and develop talent. • Drives processes that achieve results through others who are not direct reports • Lead strategic decision support to sales leadership and the broader sales organization • Collaborate on a regular basis with Finance, other Sales Operations leads, and supporting functions • Design and oversee KPIs and metrics to evaluate sales performance and goal attainment • Generate insights through analytics, deliver actionable data to customers in a variety of reporting mediums (PBI, PPT, XLS) • Develop and recommend sales objectives and performance plans • Manage sales regions and territories, collaborating with management to optimize structure for growth • Lead the annual quota-setting process • Assess and recommend commission programs and promotions with data to provide feedback on effectiveness • Educate and train sales management/reps on systems and processes • Manage division-wide Sales Operations Coordinators and related sales order management processes and inquiries • Serve as sales operations expert on processes, tools, data models, and systems; collaborate on enterprise programs • Formulate policy, guidance documents, and education and training material • Lead cross-business unit process improvement opportunities What you need: • Bachelor's degree required • 10+ years relevant experience required • Strong understanding of sales territory analysis, sales operations, and sales compensation required • Understanding of business strategy, financial strategy, and financial projections • Must be strong in Excel, sales systems, data models and ability to analyse for insight generation
