Work Flexibility: Hybrid What you will do Join our team as an NPI Associate Sourcing Manager (Hybrid) and play a critical role in bringing innovative products to market. You’ll lead sourcing strategies for complex new product initiatives, drive cost efficiencies, and ensure smooth supplier collaborations—all while working closely with global cross-functional teams to enable successful product launches. This is a hybrid role. We are seeking a candidate in Cary, Il or the surrounding area. The employee is expected to be physically present at the Stryker location 3 days per week but has the flexibility to work from home 2 days per week. Own the development and implementation of NPI sourcing strategies for assigned projects of increased complexity, utilizing agreed tools and processes Perform sourcing analysis and selection process utilizing the agreed tools, including financial and non-financial inputs as required for clear sourcing decisions. Demonstrate insight and understanding of component cost drivers to develop negotiation strategies Own/Lead the negotiation of contracts (i.e. Supply Agreement, Development Agreements) per guidelines Develop strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders in scope for the project, and serve as a primary escalation point Appropriate advocate on behalf of supplier within the organization by providing a balanced viewpoint and holding suppliers accountable as appropriate and lead cross-functional teams to resolve issues Lead/Own procurement activities for new product launches [supplier selection, requests for quotes, negotiations, awards, cost management, launch readiness and handover to sustaining procurement Assure costs are tracked throughout the project, standards are accurately implemented and savings are captured for handover. Alignment with Finance, Supply Planning, purchasing to ensure parts are set up with all appropriate attributes Effectively and timely communicate expectations to suppliers and escalate risks to project teams or management as needed Driving change to mitigate risks, understanding of key challenges, and voicing concerns to project leadership, divisional sourcing, global category Identify savings opportunities during launch planning and future savings opportunities for sustaining sourcing Identify gaps/opportunities to support procurement strategy and collaborate with global stakeholders to resolve Develop business case proposals to support future transfers, dual sourcing, design changes, etc. What you need: Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Supply Management, Business, Finance, Engineering or related field. 6 years of experience in supply chain, operations, or engineering Knowledge and application of supplier contract strategy, negotiations, contractual terms, and contract administration. Understanding of procurement strategy Demonstrated ability to lead effective relationships, internally and externally Ability to lead difficult conversations and complex negotiations with suppliers Demonstrated ability to leverage data and analytics to identify optimization opportunities Experience delivering supply base optimization in areas of delivery, quality, and cost Contracting experience of medium level complexity Adept in conflict resolution Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in fast paced environments Experience influencing without direct authority Exercises good judgment and can weigh benefits and risk in order to make solid decisions despite ambiguity Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in supply management, business, finance, engineering or related field Electromechanical sourcing experience Travel Percentage - 20% $98,200 - $163,700 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
