Full Description

As an Associate Manage, Legal Strategic Contracts you will assist with implementation of the global contracting process in accordance with standard operating procedures and assist with the development of proposals, negotiation and management of contracts for applicable Stryker Divisions. The Associate Manager is responsible for evaluating contract opportunities to ensure contract actions are completed in accordance with applicable laws and policies. Under minimal supervision works with applicable Stryker Divisions and functional units to identify needed contract actions, and will prepare the appropriate course of action required that may include execution and management of the contract terms and conditions. The Associate Manager position may require the supervision of individuals or a team of individuals in support of the contracting process. This is a remote role within the United States. What you will do: • Enforces the core contract management processes which enables monitoring and managing of contract compliance; • Manage assigned Stryker division portfolios and a team of contracting professionals; • Serve as a principal point of contact for the escalation of complex contracting requirements; • Ensure compliance with applicable law and policies. • Ensure necessary documentation has been developed and retained in accordance with applicable laws and policies; • Coordinate with Corporate Shared Services and other functional departments as necessary to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures; • Ensure utilization and monitoring of systems and controls for contracting processes; • Maintain current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and • Participate in special projects and assists on other matters as required • Develop personnel through daily interactions and coaching of staff, provide guidance to staff in legal matters and in effective business partnering with internal and external stakeholders. What you’ll need Required • 6+ years of work experience • Bachelor’s Degree • 3+ years of work experience with contracts • Possess analytical skills and ability to draft proposal responses in accordance with guidelines. • Exceptional communication and relationship skills and ability to convey complex contracting concepts clearly and concisely Preferred • ​Paralegal certification • Experience working with Uniform Commercial Code • Experience drafting, redlining and reviewing documentation • Experience with direct contract negotiations • Expertise with MS office products • Salesforce experience $87,600 - $186,700 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits.
